Xiaomi’s New Initiative: @ Tirupati Plant, Assembling Mi Smart TVs

India’s No 1 Smartphone company Xiaomi has started assembling Mi Smart TVs in India. This operation is executed from Tirupati. For any kind of needs, Xiaomi has partnered with Dixon Technologies. Xiaomi, in business with Foxconn and Hipad Technologies, has six lines selected to smartphones and power banks across Sri City in Andhra Pradesh, Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu and Noida.

“Right now we are ramping up slowly but by the January-March quarter, the factory will generate the capacity to assemble one lakh Mi LED TVs per month,” said Manu Jain, managing director, Xiaomi India.

The entertainment industry is based on Television and Computer. Now Xioami has started assembling TV also, it’s good news for the Indian market.

“Since its launch in February, Xiaomi has sold 5 lakh TVs in India…we would be the fastest growing TV brand in the country,” Jain said.
